James Is Home!

We left Monday, January 7th, for Miami, and arrived in Haiti Tuesday, January 8th.

James was placed with us upon our arrival to the orphanage last Tuesday, and we had three days to get him fairly used to us before we jumped on a plane to bring him home. His paperwork was already completed, so no appointments, just bonding time with our son.

We left Haiti on Friday, January 11th, exactly a year after we received his referral. We overnighted in Miami, and then had two more flights Saturday before we arrived back home.

We had a welcoming crew at the airport (thanks family & friends!!!), and dinner waiting for us at home (thanks Dad & Terry and our 3 big kids!!!).

I'll write more in detail about our trip to Haiti, our flights home, and our first week at home, later. For now, having a 2-year-old in the house is keeping me pretty busy.
