That does seem wierd from a non-Iowan's perspective. I guess butter sculptures are a little strange - just most Iowans are used to it.
There's a lady that's been carving butter sculptures for years at the state fair. Her grandaughter is now starting to take over her tradition.
There's always a butter cow, then at least one other thing. Usually it's a person or character with Iowa ties. Superman (an Iowan was in that movie a year or two ago), John Wayne (birthplace in Iowa), and now Shawn Johnson, who is from Iowa.
Well, can't see her very well - we couldn't get very close, but you get the idea...
