June 2, 2007 - Taking a Break!

Instead of going to the post office, we went garage sale-ing... Kaylen found a funny tiny stuffed kitty in the free box at the first one we went to, that she enjoyed the whole morning. We also found a LeapFrog electronic letters game (actually several types of letter games) that has lower-case letters for buttons instead of upper case, so hopefully that'll help her learn them a little quicker. She wanted to play it in the car, but we decided it was too loud, so when we got home she played with it for quite a while. We found a kitchen table and chairs. The table and chairs were filthy, one of the chairs was rickety, and one the back was completely broken, but it was only $25! We figured for that price we could do the work to clean them up and put them back together. Now (or at least soon when we get all the work done) we'll have a table and can actually eat in the kitchen instead of the formal dining room, which we'll now save for special occasions and company. We also finally got some vertical blinds for the sliding door, and put them up. We had ordered them on sale from JCPenney and they came today. They have sheers over the vinyl verticals, so they look a little nicer than regular vinyl vertical blinds. Anyway...
